JOB DESCRIPTION

Web User Interface Engineer
Cayuse,
Inc., has an open position for a Software Engineer, to be filled
immediately. This position is responsible for a demanding and
rewarding variety of duties related to the development, enhancement
and delivery of an industry-leading web-based enterprise software
system. If you are the person destined for this position, you have
experience with Java, as well as advanced HTML and JavaScript across
common browser platforms. You enjoy working in small innovative
teams, and have a flexible upbeat approach to working with your
colleagues.
Responsibilities

	Participate in the
	development of significant subsystems within our application
	software, including definition of requirements, prototyping, design
	analysis, code development, testing and deployment
	
	Develop a solid
	understanding of how portions of our software systems operate, how
	they are designed, and how customers use them
	
	Provide engineering
	support to our technical operations staff when they build, deploy,
	configure and support systems for customers
	
	Participate with
	the engineering and product management teams to define plans to
	standardize and enhance our products and the services utilized to
	deploy/install/release those products
	
	Other duties from
	time to time as determined by management

Professional
Experience & Skills

	3+ years experience
	developing  browser-based user interfaces using HTML and CSS with
	expertise in portability across Firefox and Internet Explorer
	platforms
	
	3+ years experience
	utilizing JavaScript to construct dynamic web-based applications
	employing both AJAX and traditional DOM techniques
	
	3+ years experience
	as a software engineer; demonstrated success developing Java
	enterprise-class software systems and engaging in analysis, design,
	implementation and deployment tasks
	
	Proficiency
	developing and troubleshooting software that runs in Linux and/or
	Windows
	
	Previous experience
	with any of the following is highly desirable:  JSP, Struts,
	Hibernate, SQL, Ant, Tomcat

Education
Required:
Bachelors
degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer
Engineering or similar technical discipline; or, equivalent
demonstrable experience.
