Hi all,
We have an existing web application that is highly interactive with the
user, uses a lot of browser-side functionality, has well over 100
distinctive controls, and is written in PHP. Management (doing one of
those things that gives the word such a bad reputation) demands that we
tie its functionality into an off-the-shelf application whose API is
straight-up EJB3, and do so by the end of October.
I've managed to explain to them that they're hallucinating, and bought a
couple of weeks, but that really still isn't time to re-do the UI in JSF
or JSP. A SOAP API is available for the product but they won't pay for
that. They won't let me hire one of you to just "git 'er done" right
now--and well--either. So I'm jonesin' for any bright ideas on how to
glue oil to water in a hurry.
Thoughts?
