Seeking accomplished Java developer for exciting new development work!
Learn new technologies...
My client is a small, private, and self funded company with no external
pressures from VC, etc. They are in the consumer oriented web space,
growing dramatically, have a solid and loyal customer base and market
presence, and are now embarking on a major re-architecture of their
systems and applications. They are bringing in an open source eCommerce
product and will need to write the integration and customizations to
support it and tie it in to their systems.
Tasks to be completed:
* eCommerce web site configuration
* entity/resource creation
* web page implementation
* custom web service functions
* web site testing
Skills/experience required:
* Java
* PHP scripting language
* Understand XML structure
* Understand MVC design pattern
* SQL
* web service (via XML-RPC, SOAP)
Additional Skills/experience preferred/desired:
* Zend Framework
* Other PHP frameworks (e.g., PHPCake)
* MySQL database
* Integrated development environment (e.g., Eclipse, Zend, but
preferable Eclipse)
* Source Configuration Management (SCM) Preferably Subversion
and CVS.
* X-Cart eCommerce web site
* Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
* Rich Internet Application (RIA) Preferably AJAX with jQuery.
* Graphic arts (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator)
* J2EE application servers (e.g., JBoss, Glassfish, WebSphere,
WebLogic)
This is a direct hire or contract to hire position with a potential to
convert to full time direct if mutually agreed.
Must be authorized to work for any company in the U.S. and must be able
to work on site daily.
Work location is Beaverton.
