[PJUG Javamail] PDF To Image Opinions

I've been using ImageMagick for quite a few years now with luck to do
all my conversions.

Have a look at http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php

It will convert many image types (including PDF) back and forth to other
types. That is just one of the many things I can do very well on image
files.

Also check out the JMagick project (http://www.jmagick.org/index.html)
which delivers a Java API wrapper around the ImageMagick library.

Take care,

Jo Creyf

Subject: [PJUG Javamail] PDF To Image Opinions

Hi All,

I have been toying with both JPedal and Sun's PDFRenderer for a while.

My needs are to convert a PDF into an image.

Both programs do a passable job, but they each fail for different
reasons

on different types of files.

Does anyone out there have an opinion on the JPedal Commercial version?

Does it do a better job than the gpl version?

Or are there any other projects I should be looking into?

Thanks,
