[PJUG Javamail] Teaching Children Programming

I liked a lot of what Alice offers, but the ability of the children to  
actually make the artwork that is part of their program seems to  
appeal to them greatly. Of course, I'm working with elementary school  
kids, and they have no problem working with "bad art". High school  
students, on the other hand, may feel otherwise.

The other appeal that Scratch has to me is that it has a bit more  
simpler interface.
