Congratulations! Having actually used your scripts, I can vouch for how
useful they were on our project. :)

Subject: [PJUG Javamail] Good news/bad news on JavaOne papers...
I got some good news today - the paper I submitted to JavaOne was accepted!
"Object-Oriented Ant Scripts for the Enterprise" will be presented in all
it's glory this June at JavaOne in San Francisco, before an audience of
fellow Java dudes.
The bad news? I actually have to present the thing now. You know how they
say to imagine your audience naked? In my version, it's me that's naked,
presenting something to people far more intelligent than I am, and more
knowledgeable about the subject matter. Q&A will be pure torture. Of
course, this is a revised version of what I've already presented to PJUG,
and I survived that (never mind the experience of seeing you all naked. It
wasn't pretty.).
Of course, the good part is that I get a free conference pass (much $$ $),
and there's a good chance I can guilt my company into ponying up airfare
PTO, meals, and hotel.
Thanks to everyone who helped me shape my abstract and outline (and reshape
it again and again) into something worth submitting.
Now I gotta get working on the real thing....
Doug
