http://code.google.com/appengine/docs/java/jrewhitelist.html talks about
the JRE Whitelist.

It appears that the appengine has 1323 classes whereas Standard JDK 6
JRE has 3793 classes. Approximately 35% coverage.

Can somebody else confirm my numbers?

This is exciting, yes. I have a python/gwt appengine app that I want to
port over to a jvm-based back end. They've mentioned gwt support, but I
haven't seen anything to suggest that they've done anything toolwise to
make it easy (gwt + python wasn't particularly well supported, either).
Have you seen any gwt + java appengine tutorials or articles?

John
