I don't think so, but pdxfunc (Portland Functional Programming Study
Group) would also be interested in hearing more about Scala. Would
anyone in PJUG be interested in presenting? Maybe there's a way to
coordinate a presentation or two on the topic between these groups?

Members of pdxfunc have a lot of experience working with these
languages, including full-time developers, professors, authors, and
conference speakers. You may want to join the mailing list at
http://groups.google.com/group/pdxfunc/
The next pdxfunc meeting is tomorrow, Monday, June 9, 7pm at CubeSpace.
I'll be talking about doing functional programming with dynamic
languages, please see http://calagator.org/events/1250455350 for details.
