PJUG Crew - 

We have an opportunity here in Portland for one of our clients.  The
client does Event Marketing / Management.  They have an application that
is all-encompassing for their clients (and their respective events), and
they're bringing on 7 developers to knock out this project.  It's a
6-month contract to start out.  They will bring the top 3-4 developers
on full-time at the conclusion of the contract.  January is go-live, so
this will trickle into February, most likely.

Project Overview

This project is one of the client's top projects and investments.  This
is a Full Life Cycle Development project
There are a total of 7 open positions, 4 Middle Tier and 3 Front-end.

Culture 
*	Small environment, tight-knit group 
*	Collaborative approach, everyone has the ability to challenge
direction. 
*	Accountability is very important 
*	The Consultant needs to be on sight, because the team works
together 
*	40- 50 hours a week 

	Methodology and Responsibilities 
*	Scrum, they have meetings everyday in the morning 
*	Developers must be able to self manage 
*	Developers need to wear several different hats; architect,
develop, distinguish, and implement SW 
*	For the fist phase of the Software, they have it spec'd-out. For
the second and third phase they have not gathered the requirements. The
Developers and a Business Analyst will be gathering the requirements and
deciding how the SW should look. 
*	They do have a QA person onsite and they are going to bring on
another QA, however the developers will be doing some of the testing 

	Technical Environment 

	Presentation/Front End Developers, 3 Positions 
*	JSP 
*	Spring Webflow 
*	Spring MVC 
*	AJAX 
*	Dojo 
*	Nice to have: Prototype, Yahoo FreeMarker 

	Middle Tier Developers 4 Positions
*	Spring Framework 
*	Hibernate (Must have) 
*	Acegi / Spring Security 
*	JBoss 
*	Aspect Oriented Programming (AOP) 

	Database:
*	Oracle 

	Tools:
*	Maven 
*	Subversion 
*	IDEA 
*	JasperReports
