[PJUG Javamail] Netbeans Performance

Brian,
Can you explain the environment in which you're using it?
CPU
  - Speed/number
Memory
- Clarify how much memory you're dedicating to NetBeans, not just how  
much the box has?
Disk drive
  -  What size/speed/ how full?

What else are you doing on the box?   When you watch system  
performance, does it seem to be  CPU bound or IO bound?  Is the box  
swapping ?
