I take the blame in not letting him know about the SwingX talk
Tuesday... I was out sick and didn't check my email accounts all last
week and when I got back to work on Tuesday I sent it to him as soon as
I could.. Which was a couple hours before the meeting. :\ I say I'm to
blame because he and I have been talking about such a thing, desktop
java presentation @ PJUG, since he moved to Eugene!

Btw, was there any slides from this weeks meeting? I missed it myself,
oops!

Jeff

Subject: [PJUG Javamail] speaking at the next PJUG

Hello everyone at the Portland JUG.

I would like to know if there is any interest in having me speak at your
next JUG? My name is Joshua Marinacci and I am an engineer at Sun,
previously working on Swing and now working on NetBeans. I am the author
of Swing Hacks and a leading contributor to the SwingLabs projects.

I live in Eugene (just moved from California a few months ago) and would
love to speak at one of your meetings. I'm sorry I missed your last one
a few days ago. I found out about it only a few hours before.

As both a desktop Java expert I could talk about rich clients, answer
Swing and Swing Labs questions, and talk about the new things coming in
NetBeans 6 for desktop developers. I would also like to give you a
sneak preview of a demo I'm working on for JavaOne to get your feedback.

Thank you for your time and I look forward to meeting you all in person.

	Josh
